Freelance, 30 hours per week, starting immediately

Art in America Magazine seeks a Listing Coordinator to manage sales, onboarding, and billing support for the newly launched Art in America online Guide (www.artguide.pro). The Art in America Guide is one the most prestigious directories of Museums, Galleries, and Artists in the world, with 2,500 lister profiles. Listers manage their own profiles on the website and this individual will assist them with that as needed and provide billing support within our automated subscription system. This individual will also be responsible for outreach to potential new listers to encourage sign-ups, working towards monthly sales goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Consistent gallery & museum email/phone outreach to encourage sales for new listings
  • Keep track of gallery & museum updates to ensure the site is up to date
  • Management of customer support inquiries (via phone, e-mail, and online help desk software), including re-routing to internal digital and ad sales teams when necessary
  • Update and maintain Guide listings for the 2018 print edition of the Guide to Museums, Galleries, Artists
  • Collaborate with various internal departments such as the art department, sales and the digital team working towards the final output of the 2018 print edition of the Guide
  • Proofread listings to ensure their keeping is within the Art in America style

Qualifications:

  • Must be an outgoing, energetic individual who takes initiative and follows through
  • Must be comfortable with cold calling, negotiating and other sales techniques
  • Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multi-task
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; WordPress experience is helpful
  • Prior work experience in sales, arts/publishing administration preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in art history helpful and preferred
  • Pre-existing relationships in the arts community a plus

Salary: hourly commiserate with experience

Fall Internship Opportunity
Advertising, Business Development and Marketing Departments

Art Media Holdings, llc. is excited to announce an internship opportunity in our Advertising Department for Fall/Winter 2017. Interns work side-by-side with the sales, business development and marketing teams, gaining firsthand experience in magazine operations. Interns shadow and assist the staff in client relations, organization, creation of marketing material and research projects.

A background or interest in art, design, digital publishing, marketing and sales is required, as are excellent language skills—both written and spoken. Interns must be able to commit 16 hours per week, schedule is TBD based on your availability. A stipend will be provided as will academic credit. Start date would be as soon as possible.

Duration: One semester
Salary: Academic credit is available upon request. We offer a stipend covering the cost of lunch and traveling to and from our SoHo offices by subway.
